| Mission - To produce professionals that have a thorough understanding of chemical engineering principles. Moreover, through the development of a research project, graduates acquire increased professional experience over that of the undergraduate program, so that they can be prepared for a successful industrial career. |

Objectives |
| 1. Prepare students with advanced skills necessary to conduct process design and evaluation. |
| 2. Prepare students to work in the conceptual development of industrial processes. |
| 3. Prepare students to participate in process operation |
| 4. Prepare students to participate in basic research (both experimental and theoretical) and development. |
| 5. Prepare the students to specialize in topics that are representative of chemical engineering applications in Arizona industries, such as those involved in semiconductor processing, public utilities, biotechnology and environmental engineering. |
