| Mission - To develop entry level professionals who can immediately succeed in either the workplace or with further training due to their thorough understanding of environmental engineering principles and participation in a rigorous applied project or original research effort. |
| Educational
Objectives |
| 1. Prepare students with the discipline specific skills necessary to conduct environmental engineering process design and evaluation. |
| 2. Prepare students with expertise in the areas of water quality, water reuse, hazardous waste treatment and air pollution. |
| 3. Prepare students to participate in interdisciplinary projects, particularly with chemical engineers, but also with other engineering, regulatory, and scientific professionals. |
| 4. Prepare students to participate in basic research (both experimental and theoretical) and development. |
| 5. Prepare students with specific knowledge of environmental engineering issues specific to Arizona and an awareness of the unique challenges of trans-border problems. |
