Assessment results

Assessment activities in Electrical Engineering identified the following

1. a low level of professional skill coverage in the curriculum,
2. a need to improve the number of students that are successful in our upper division courses,
3. a need to require our electrical engineers take a microcontroller course,
4. a need to strengthen the first semester of the senior capstone course,
5. the inexistence of an industrial advisory group in ECE,
6. a need to directly assess our students writing ability,
7. a need to enhance the computer resources available to our undergraduate students,
8. a need to formulate a better set of educational objectives for the electrical engineering program, and
9. a need to improve the advising activities in the ECE department.
