BS Systems Engineering
Mission - To provide high quality education, and a basis for lifelong learning of the engineering and scientific knowledge required for analysis, design, improvement, and evaluation of integrated systems of people, computers, material, and equipment - as embodied in the disciplines of industrial engineering, operations research, and systems engineering, and like fields

 

Educational Objectives
1. Students should have the ability to model and solve problems using the techniques of mathematics, physics, engineering science, operations research, applied probability and statistics, and computer simulation.
2. Students should know and should have the ability to consider the entire system as a whole when solving problems, and not simply look at components and subsystems individually.
3. Students should be effective team members. This includes teamwork skills as well as communication skills.
4. Students should be proficient at using modern computer tools to solve problems.
5. Students should understand and appreciate professional behavior in engineering.
