...Becoming a Technical Professional
and
...Becoming an Engineer and Teaming on Design Projects

The material presented at this web site is designed for faculty who use the textbooks:
bullet Becoming a Technical Professional (blue book)
bullet Becoming an Engineer and Teaming on Design Projects (yellow book)

Note - These books were written so that the chapters need not be read in order, but can be read just in time for the needs of the course. The book Becoming an Engineer and Teaming on Design Projects presents just enough technical material about a set of six design projects to allow an introductory understanding of the underlying engineering science. Students may want to search for supporting materials for further knowledge.

Five learning objectives of the textbooks:

bullet Create a career plan and develop the personal management skills necessary to become a self-reliant professional.
bullet Become an effective team member.
bullet Understand the fundamental principles that support learning and becoming a lifelong learner.
bullet Become an effective communicator.
bullet Be able to use the design process to meet an expressed need.
